We are committed to providing open access to GenOMICC discoveries so that knowledge can be shared and maximised for the future benefit of all. We’ll do this by providing free, unrestricted online access to permanently available data for anyone to read, share and re-use.
This policy applies to all data published on this website. Our data will be available on ‘Open Access’ terms. This means permanently available on an unrestricted basis.
GenOMICC (University of Edinburgh) is the licensor, and our data is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Generic License (CC BY 4.0). This allows other researchers the freedom to copy, share, adapt and build on the GenOMICC data (in any medium or format, including commercially) without the need to apply for additional copyright permissions.
Where GenOMICC data has been used by researchers we ask that it’s use is cited using: ‘This research uses data made available by GenOMICC (University of Edinburgh)’ and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use. You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Data will be accessible as soon as reasonably possible following publication. In some circumstances, access to supporting data may be released earlier, under embargo.
The GenOMICC website hosts direct access to the Data releases.

Applications for access to samples and individual-level genotyped information is not covered here. Legitimate researchers through recognised institutions (including commercially) can apply for access and enquires should be directed to genomic-data@roslin.ed.ac.uk in the first instance.
